If this sounds like you, then we invite you to come build a future with us.   Location: Santa Clara, CA (with opportunity for remote/hybrid work)   Hours:   Position Summary: The Project Coordinator, Design will be embedded in the integration project team, and responsible for performing and overseeing essential project tasks with moderate supervision. Leads the design coordination process for Vantis with the Architect and their consultants, MEP design, and Vantis Project Managers to produce a coordinated fabrication file reflecting contract drawing. Will also be responsible for project management processes and responsibilities.   Responsibilities: - Lead design coordination meetings with the design team, e.g.) Architects and consultants and Vantis’ integration personnel - Support the sale cycle by providing potential clients with information regarding the Vantis preconstruction and design integration process - Detail design and structural components in Revit for documentation and BIM coordination - Coordinate design conflicts with Architects, MEP engineers, and subcontractors - Assist the PPM with leading Vantis interdisciplinary teams through integration to ensure fabrication is coordinated with contract drawings and with MEP validation process to mitigate risks - Read and interpret project plans, contract drawings, and specifications from concept through Issue for Construction (IFC) phases of the design-build process - Translate engineering sketches to details in construction documents for permit submittals and IFC - Organize and create formal RFI’s for review by the engineer, architect, and general contractor - Work with manufacturing and the detailing team to ensure shop drawings accurately depict the scope of work in accordance with the contract drawings - Ensure projects stay within scope, budget, and time constraints - Assist PPM with change management, change orders, budget adjustments, and forecast or (EAC) estimate at completion   Qualifications:  Education/Experience - Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college in engineering or relevant - Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training in design and planning; or equivalent combination of education and experience - Revit, CAD experience required - LEED and Well Building certification preferred - Experience with Prefabrication/offsite, design-build and IPD process is also preferred - Proficient in MS Project or equivalent scheduling software preferred - Proficient in Autodesk Inventor or equivalent software preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Full understanding of a design-build/assist approach for full integration into the preconstruction process - Must have a good understanding of unit costing and square foot costs - Ability to foster and leverage Comfortable interfacing with clients, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff Benefits: - 15 days of PTO - 8 Paid Holidays - Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance - Unlimited TaskHuman Credits - Wellness benefits including eligibility for $500 yearly reimbursement - Profit Sharing   If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, please apply with your resume today. Location: Sacramento, CA   Hours:   Position Summary: The Business Developer will manage both our existing pipeline and to help expand existing client relationships and develop new relationships with architects, owners/authorities, other general contractors, and trade partners. In doing so, the business developer will help build a stable pipeline of project opportunities for consideration by the company.  The primary responsibility of the Business Developer role is to build relationships and secure construction project acquisitions for the company within the East Bay and Sacramento markets, by promoting the company services to ensure client satisfaction from a retention perspective, consistently messaging and communicating the Vantis brand.     Responsibilities:  - Utilize lead generating software, industry contacts and relationships to generate project leads and push through for project acquisition. The Preconstruction Manager engages with both internal and external entities to ensure that commitments to clients are being satisfactorily met and consistently communicated. Oversees estimating, scheduling, integration and purchasing functions as they relate to preconstruction services and provides effective management of the integration process during design ensuring that prefabricated files are coordinated with contract design.    Responsibilities: - Assists partners with business development in building relationships and providing conceptual estimates to potential clients. Provide process discussion in collaboration with business development during the project acquisition stage. Provides excellent analytical abilities in risk assessment and mitigation during inception to turnover to operations/construction team. - Leads interdisciplinary teams to deliver integrated prefabricated files. Provides oversight in managing all necessary resources throughout preconstruction from inception through turnover and ensures that design expectations are coordinated within budget and schedule. Takes leadership and owns quality assurance/quality control of integration during the full preconstruction project life cycle.   - - Preconstruction - Provides design assist proposals to architects and general contracts and negotiates terms while providing scope explanations. - Collaborates with the design team throughout the preconstruction phase following Vantis’s SOPs regarding integration. - Leads Vantis’s interdisciplinary teams through integration, ensuring fabrication is coordinated with design engineers. - Provides responsibility matrix to the remaining trades to ensure no gaps or overlaps in the project documents and budget. - Continuous budget development for defined scope of work as project progresses through the design. - Conducts all levels of estimating from conceptual to detailed final lump sum for sub-contracting bid. - Reconciles budgets throughout the Preconstruction phases, to ensure third party cost engineers comparison is correctly reflecting blended budgets and provides milestone budgetary updates as appropriate. - Manages development of all design deliverables (design progress prints, permit set, structural design, and specifications) to design team for design assist and design-build projects. - Reviews all project documents including drawings, specifications, and technical documents from each trade/manufacture to ensure constructability and coordination. - Responsible for project schedule creation and coordination with the GC/Design Build Contractor to properly reflect a prefab approach. - Tracks critical path and project tasks to keep all team members and deliverable in line with the master project schedule. - Attends and participates in pull planning meetings to ensure dependencies are adequately identified and logic is linked accurately in master schedule. - Conveys any concerns regarding design, schedule, and budget to client as design progresses. - Reviews contract for preconstruction services and subcontract agreements. - Lead MEP validation process in order to mitigate risks per Vantis procedures. - Provides constructability review and identifies ideal locations for prefab construction. - Establishes and attends design coordination meetings with the design team to ensure proper collaboration between all team members. - Interfaces with vendors to request quotes used to supply accurate proposals to client. - Research manufacturers and products and works closely with Design team to strategically plan and develop client specific solutions. - Responsible for research and recruitment of new sub-contractors and vendors as required for design build applications. - Manages Vantis involvement in BIM coordination.  - Construction - Reviews project requirements including scope, budget, and schedule with the construction project managers for quality control prior to project hand-off. - Reviews contract drawings for any cost and/or schedule impacts and notifies the GC within the allotted time frame per the contract. - Tracks any design changes in contract documents and ensures changes are properly captured prior to procurement. Manages permit revisions if necessary. - Oversees shop drawing generation and GC/AOR submittal process. - Submits pricing and all other information needed in order to supply final contract pricing to the client. - Assists in reviewing subcontract to assess risk.   Qualifications:   Education/Experience - Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college in construction management, engineering, or architectural design or relevant experience. - Minimum of 7-10 years related experience and/or training in design and planning; or equivalent combination of education and experience - Revit, CAD, MS Project, and Procore experience required - LEED and Well Building certification preferred - Experience with Prefabrication/offsite, design build and IPD process is also desired   Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Full understanding of a design assist approach for full integration into the preconstruction process. - Ability to assess and manage risk. - Must have a good understanding of unit costing and square foot costs. - Ability to foster and leverage relationships. If this sounds like you, then we invite you to come build a future with us.   Location: Remote (company is based out of Santa Clara)   Hours: Monday-Friday, typically 8AM-5PM some flexibility on start and end time, 1 hour lunch.   Please note this is a 12 month contract role with potential to transition into a full-time, long-term hire.   Position Overview: The construction accountant position is fully responsible for supporting the Vantis construction activities related to monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances, processing sub-contractor payments, and ensuring that project billings are issued, and payments collected in accordance with the established accounting standards and billing process. Works in conjunction with the accounting department and operations to provide customer service, track orders, and report on Vantis financial health. Overseeing owner contracts, prequalification completion to clients, verification of subcontractor prequalification, requesting various insurances and validating subcontractor insurances. This key player will work closely with the Controller and must possess good organizational and communication skills to deal diplomatically with all levels of company personnel and customers.   Position Summary: AP (including joint check preparation); AR (including posting project payments); Change Orders tracking; Sub-Contracts tracking; Job Costing Analysis; Subcontractor Documentation Tracking (Lien Releases - conditional and unconditional, first and second tier); Act as a gatekeeper for the company in safeguarding the company’s assets and ensure compliance with corporate financial and risk processes. Manage the projects Over/Under billing and WIP adjustments.   Responsibilities: - Effectively communicate with the Controller, Project Managers (PMs), and Project Executives (PXs) regarding contract documents, change orders, and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services-related to billing. - Create project accounts in the accounting system. - Maintain project-related records, including billings, expenses, sub-contracts, and other documents in an electronic format whenever possible. - Manages and reviews, draft and negotiates numerous contracts simultaneously, including service agreements and amendments, non-disclosure agreements, statements of work and ancillary legal documents with assistance from counsel, as necessary. - Coordinate the documents needed and assist with the RFQ and RFP submittals and maintain a log of the latest files. - Work with PMs to review and approve sub-contractor pay applications related to a project. - Process sub-contractor check payments and post all cash receipts from owners. - Work with the insurance broker to provide certificates of insurance for projects. - Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management. - Compile & report on project profitability to management in close connection with PMs. - Work with PMs to process all owner billings in the Accounting system. - Work with PMs to investigate all project expenses not billed to owners. - Manage the projects Over/Under billing and WIP adjustments. - Generate and distribute regular exception reports to management on receivables. - Prepare special project analyses for PMs and PXs as requested. - Close out project accounts upon project completion. - Provide support and compile information for internal and external auditors, as required. - Perform additional assignments, as directed by the Company Leadership. - Communicate and coordinate with the Corporate and Field offices. - Manage final job close outs. - Responsible for following up on past due accounts receivable with project teams. - Responsible for any job specific audits and/or client year-end confirmations. - Willingness to take on special projects involving systems or special reporting. Qualifications: Education/Experience - A bachelor's degree in business or accounting, with detailed knowledge of project contracts and change order documents. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - At least (5) five years of experience as a project accountant for a general contractor. - Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including strong experience in MS Word, and MS Excel. - Working knowledge of construction focused project accounting ERP software, Acumatica. - Working knowledge of construction focused project management software, Procore. - Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills. - Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion. - Strong commitment to customer service.
